Dr. Choi has joined the faculty of department of chemistry at POSTECH in 2003. He earned his B.S. degree in Applied chemistry from Kyungpook National University, having pursued undergraduate research with Professor Nam-ho Heo. After receiving Master’s degree in 1997, he moved to Purdue University to pursue his enthusiasm in Zeolite and joined Professor thomas Bein group. Upon Dr. Bein’s leave to Munich, Germany, He studied with Professor Jillian M. Buriak and earned his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry in 2001. He then joined Prof. Hongjie Dai group at Stanford University where he began nano science of carbon materials in earnest. Currently, Dr. Choi’s research focuses on materials chemistry with special emphasis on electrically/optically active molecular crystals and molecular network systems.
